An ARI video briefly presenting Ayn Rand’s philosophy has recently surpassed one million views on YouTube, marking a significant milestone in the Institute’s effort to spread Rand’s ideas through social media. Published in 2015, “Ayn Rand – Her Philosophy in Two Minutes” has captured the attention of viewers with its concise yet impactful presentation.

The two-minute video is intended for newcomers to the philosophy. Through dynamic graphics and animations accompanied by uplifting music, it brings Rand’s philosophy to life, walking viewers through the basic tenets of Objectivism. The video emphasizes Rand’s distinctive view of selfishness, that it is about achieving values and making the most out of life, not exploiting others. The presentation concludes with a powerful clip of Rand herself emphasizing the importance of the one life we have to live.

ARI’s previous successes on YouTube include one video (about the Israeli–Palestinian conflict) that reached one million views within a few days (it has now been viewed more than three million times) and short clips of Rand’s Q&A responses that have amassed tens of thousands of views within days. The Mike Wallace interview with Ayn Rand is now close to two million views. The channel, which passed the 100,000-subscribers mark in October 2023, continues to grow, with more than 148,000 subscribers today.
