Learn the Principles of Public Speaking with Yaron Brook

A practical course on effective public communication, taught by an experienced international speaker

Communicating ideas clearly to an audience is hard work. Effective public speaking is not a matter of innate charisma but a skill that can be learned and refined over time.

In the upcoming ARI Live winter 2026 course Communicating Ideas: Public Speaking, Yaron Brook draws on decades of experience as an internationally sought-after speaker to teach students how to communicate ideas clearly and persuasively. As ARI’s chairman of the board and a longtime advocate of Ayn Rand’s ideas, Brook has traveled the world challenging deeply held philosophic views in lectures, debates, and media appearances — often before skeptical or openly hostile audiences.

The course teaches the principles of objective communication in public speaking. Students will practice the skills they are learning by delivering short talks on intellectual topics of their choice, and receive live, in-depth feedback from Brook.

To take this course as a graded student and receive instructor feedback, participants must have previously passed Introduction to Writing or Communicating Ideas: Writing I. The course is ideal for anyone ready to take their ideas out of their head and learn how to present them clearly, confidently, and persuasively to an audience.

The course begins January 13, 2026, and runs for eight weeks. Live classes meet on Tuesdays, 12-2 pm ET. Registration is now open.
