A year ago, Mary Ann Sures died at her home in Gaithersburg, Maryland. A close friend of Ayn Rand for decades, Mrs. Sures was an accomplished art historian and a loyal supporter of the Ayn Rand Institute.
To celebrate her life, the Ayn Rand Institute has published a memorial tribute, now available online. This tribute allows readers to learn about Mrs. Sures’s life, sample her writing, appreciate her support for various Objectivist causes, and read the personal memories of those who knew her.
The publication includes remembrances from Leonard Peikoff, Harry Binswanger, Edwin Locke, Peter Schwartz, Sandra Shaw, Jean Moroney and others. Even readers who never met her should come away from these heartfelt recollections with a real appreciation of a unique individual, a benevolent soul, and a life well lived.
Printed copies will be distributed at the upcoming Objectivist summer conference in Austin, Texas, August 27–September 1 (register here), and ARI donors may email donorservices@aynrand.org to request that a copy be mailed.
